Educational background:
Civil Engineer Diploma, Kaliningrad State Technical University, Kaliningrad, Russia, 2006
M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, 2008
Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, 2014
Academic interests
Main interests lie within thefields of structural engineering. The topics of interests include mechanics and strength of materials, statics and dynamics of structures including to some extent earthquake engineering, plasticity and fracture, fracture mechanics, explicit non-linear finite element modeling, optical strain measuring techniques (Digital Image Correlation).
Taught courses:
BYG110 Statics and strength of materials, bachelor course
BYG210 Statics 2, bachelor course,
BYG503 Construction materials: steel, aluminum, and wood, master course (together with Geir Grasmo and Katalin Vertes)
BYG701 Nonlinear Finite Element Method, Ph.D. course (together with Katalin Vertes and Songxiong Ding)
