York St John University is located in the historical city of York in the north-east of England. The origins of today’s institution were established in the year 1841 and have a fascinating history. The subjects offered at York St John are varied, and are useful to most study programmes at Bachelor level. With only around 6 500 students and a fantastic city-centre location, it is easy to feel at home at York St John!
York has approximately 200 000 inhabitants and has a varied selection of cafées, theaters and museums. The city is well connected, and you can take fast trains to big cities like Newcastle upon Tyne, Leeds, or Manchester. You will never get bored!
UiA has 8 Erasmus+ places per semester and students from all faculties and subjects can apply for this. In addition, we can send an unlimited amount of students via the Study Abroad programme. The tuition fees for one semester would then be 5 738 pounds in 2020/2021.
Credits and Modules
In England, the typical workload is four modules per semester, and a 15 credit UK module is the same as 7.5 Norwegian study points. Watch out for the modules that are 30 UK credits, as those last for two semesters, and are only open for students who will attend York St John for a year.
