Insurance / Health in the United States:
Political changes in the United States mean that American universities now (2017/18) impose strict health insurance requirements for all foreign students. Therefore, all students who exchange to an American university must expect to purchase US health insurance, as recommended by each university. This comes in addition to other insurance students may have from their home countries. The insurances usually cost around $ 500-600, but can also be more expensive.
Some universities also require foreign students to document that they have certain vaccines.
