"It is very motivating to see that the students always perform their best, and I can see improvement in students playing from every concert", says organiser Mariam Kharatyan.

For every Wednesday this semester, she has planned and arranged lunch concerts where the classical students have performed different compositions in front of an audience. The program is varied and offers music played on different instruments, in a wide range of genres, compositions, and composers, from early period music to contemporary pieces.

The arrangements have been very popular.

"The audience gave very positive responses after the performances of our students, and that is a very nice and highly motivating aspect for us. We wish that people come and experience live concerts with stage lights, free waffles, and coffee/tea and various musical program in the middle of the busy workday and hectic study semester".

Among other compositions in the concert programs, there have been solo and chamber music of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms, Grieg, Tárrega, Williams, and Bozza, played on the piano, violin, flute, cello, double bass, guitar, mandolin, and vocal.

So far three concerts have been arranged. Here you can see highlights from the first concert:

  • 21 October
